Having Great Expectations Means Mingling with New Singles

Firstly, I couldn’t characterize myself as downright comfortable as an “independent” (aka: naturally single) person and remain an honest woman. Even then, I’m not unsatisfied about it, either. I merely suggest it here as an appetizing piece of info setting up the story I am about to reveal to you

This time last week yours truly met for coffee with Corey, pondering about buying a membership to Dallas Personals site. Today, I type to my readers as a fully satisfied member of the dating service. Seriously, and I almost don’t believe it myself! Its very comfortable and full of nice people! If you know me at all, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “You got some ’splainin to do, Lucy!”

So, I saw this Great Expectations Dating site and can really get behind their approach. They’re for quality and professional singles who think dating isn’t a game.

Because I’d never been interested in whatever it is that a lot of singles call “dating.” I faced it all the time. Every night friends nagg, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “Please tell me you two are dating.”

“Ugh, and double ugh.” I reply, and playfully so. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”

“You’re as ridiculous as you are hilarious,” they level with me. “That’s just an excuse for your cynicism.”

Thankfully, that’s my partner in crime (on a good day) (hehe) Patty Feldman. She sets rational thought to my mind to set me straight. People you can trust . No countering that, so I signed up.

Coming home to the point of this blog entry. As I selected from thousands of combinations of outfits for my first date with Great Expectations, I realized something deep. Over the last year, I hadn’t entertained the greatest of figurative great expectations for dating and myself in the fun-filled winding course of being alive. Being single isn’t so bad, especially if you use the freedom to date. Having great expectations does wonders for a caring soul.
