Mood Changes
Your wife can have some amazing mood changes. One minute you will be sitting there in your living room, just minding your own business, and then bam, all of a sudden you are in the thunder dome. You must have forgot to take out the garbage, because suddenly she is tossing all the trash right at you. “Why don’t you do anything around here?” she also says, “I’m sick of picking up your dirty socks, turn off the lights!” All of the above can be products of the hormonal rage that lies within all pregnant women. One day I made the mistake of telling my wife that she can’t have another cup of coffee with her breakfast. Mistake! She freaked out! ” I have stopped eating all the foods that I love, haven’t had a drink in months, taking all sorts of pills. All I have lefts is my coffee! It’s not going to hurt the baby if I have another cup. Don’t give me a hard time, give me that cup of coffee right now” Then she burst into tears and cried for a few minutes. She didn’t drink the other cup.
All I am saying is that pregnant women are moody, and it doesn’t take much for them to get all riled up. Just try to go through it with them. As for the coffee thing, if your wife really thinks that she needs the coffee, try the old bait and switch. Dump out all of the regular coffee, and replace it with decaf. Most women put tons of cream in their coffee anyway and she’ll never know the difference. Don’t egg them on, when they get upset. Remember that you are not dealing with a rational person anymore, and there will be lots of time, just like this. You must learn to deal.
